Military Modelling

Since my childhood I have been interested in modelling, and now (2014) I would like to open up a section on my site to
show what I've been up to lately :)

Not only will I show some models in different scales (from 1/700 to 1/6) here, but also will show the catalogues, and other material I've been collecting.

I already mentioned in the general introduction that I really liked the models of Tamiya... In those days (back in the seventies), Tamiya really made a difference
in quality compared to other companies (Revell, Airfix etc).

I was like 6, 7 years old when I bought my first plastic models (planes and tanks in 1/72 scale), but my skills as well as the models weren't very good.

Then, somewhere around 72/73, I bought my first Tamiya model in the magnificent scale 1/35, The Panzer Kampfwagen III ausf. M/N

The fit was good, and from that time on, I was hooked to these 1/35 scale models

I build many many models, but of course, most of them ended up on the dump

A while back I bought an airbrush, and this really changed the way I could paint the models !
I still am learning the basics of painting and weathering, but I enjoy modelling even more now

Anyway, I don't know where this section is gonna take me, but I will see, I hope you like it (and hope some of you will get that nostalgic feeling)

The first thing I'd like to do is make a section of Tamiya Catalogues and Guide Books

The Tamiya catalogues and books all have the same format and dimensions (25,5 x 26,2 cm)

The dimensions of these books had one disadvantage, they could not be scanned with an A4 scanner.
Luckily A3 scanners are affordable these days, so I bought a Brother MFC-6520DW scanner/printer and am
finaly able to scan these lovely catalogues on which I drooled so many times when I was a kid :)

The following page will be dedicated to the Tamiya Cheetah, a radio controlled vehicle which Tamiya released in 1978

The following page will deal with the 1/700 Waterline Series (mainly focused on the Imperial Japanese Navy
